How Spokane County ARES - ACS will react to and use the Initial Damage Assessment Winlink form

This is an introductory presentation on the 800MHz radios used by many Spokane County agencies. ACS members who are called to duty may be required to use these radios alongside the people they work with.  Training on these radios is in addition to their other professional radio skills.

The FEMA IS-100C course is a multi-hour on-line course thiat ARES and ACS members must complete as part of advancing in the organization.  This presentation is geared as a "refresher" for those who have already taken the course and is not intended to replace the on-line course by FEMA.  This presentation is taken from the available materials and condensed for a one-hour refresher.

Spokane County has move to an Auxiliary Communications System encompassing ARES members and county radio communications assets.  This presentation outlines the new ARRL ARES requirements that came out in 2019 as well as the more specific requirements for Spokane County ACS.
