Spokane County ARES - ACS is affiliated with the ARRL (American Radio Relay League), and Spokane Emergency Management. Our group concentrates on emergency and civil communications to support the safety of Spokane County residents. We provide public service communications teams for many events such as the Lilac Torchlight Parade, Bloomsday, fun runs and bicycle races. We activate communication nets during periods of severe weather (with trained weather spotters) to assist the National Weather Service office in Spokane. We provide other supplementary communications as needed by Spokane Emergency Management.
